Gianluca Wagstaff Pignanelli is a British Italian artist.

Gianluca's solo exhibition 'SOUTHBOUND' will be on display at Ginger Works from November to January 2023.

 

‘Southbound’ @ Ginger Works is a project that was born over a 3-week road trip in the summer of 2022, back to where Gianluca spent his early childhood – Calabria, in the far south of Italy.

Capturing the ordinariness of locations that are tied together with the narrative of rediscovering the past.

 

Starting in Rome and travelling south, through 4 different regions and over 500 miles driven, gathering receipts and artefacts that became part of the process of the journey.
